Jane Wainwright serves as Executive Director of Business Operations and Chief of Staff to the Group CTO at Lenovo, where she leads global strategy and operational transformation at the intersection of enterprise innovation and cutting-edge AI. In this role, Jane supports Lenovo’s shift from a device-first to an AI-first organization, setting vision and strategy for global operations and enabling execution across complex, matrixed environments.

Jane's leadership is defined by strategic foresight, operational excellence, and a commitment to building systems that scale innovation responsibly. Throughout her career, she has operated at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and organizational transformation, driving change across global markets and complex, high-stakes environments.

Jane has led initiatives that embed AI and emerging technologies into enterprise operating models, designed frameworks to measure ROI on advanced R&D, and built governance structures that balance innovation with risk. Her work includes shaping global strategies, aligning cross-functional teams, and forging partnerships with governments, academia, and industry to accelerate progress in the digital economy.

With experience spanning big tech, consulting, academia, media, and national security, Jane has guided multi-billion-dollar programs, advised senior executives and boards, and delivered transformation in politically sensitive and creatively driven settings. She is recognized for turning complexity into clarity, enabling decisive leadership, and creating scalable systems that support growth and resilience, all with a global perspective and a commitment to innovation.

Jane holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, a Postgraduate Certificate in International Affairs from King’s College London, and a BA (Hons) in Security and Risk from the University of Leicester. She is also a Technology Sector Industry Advisor to Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and serves as a Non-Executive Director for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, contributing governance and strategic oversight to one of the UK’s leading medical charities.

Outside of work, Jane is a lifelong learner with a passion for business, markets, and the global economy. She has a deep interest in true crime, particularly white-collar crime and corporate deviance, and enjoys exploring the intersection of ethics and enterprise. She admits she could not live without coffee, champagne, her yoga mat, and her premium YouTube subscription.
