Greg Hoobler is a Director at Control Risks, a global specialist risk consultancy. He has over 20 years of experience in the security and risk intelligence industry, with experience ranging from government, to corporate, to consulting. He previously held senior intelligence analysis and security management positions with the U.S. Department of State, Google, and Lockheed Martin. Greg was also the founding Chair of the D.C. Analysts Roundtable, and he remains closely involved in this and other industry groups.

Greg earned his BA and MA degrees from San Diego State University, where he is currently ViceChair on the advisory board for the Wendy Gillespie Center for Advancing Global Business in the SDSU Fowler College of Business. His research on international communication and conflict resolution is published in the journals International Negotiation and International Journal of Conflict Resolution as well as in edited scholarly volumes. A life-long love of motorsports has led Greg to support Suellio Almeida Inc. as a motorsports manager, helping guide Suellio’s business and auto racing. Greg resides in Arlington, VA, with his wife and their three cats
