Fowler Welcomes Four New Professors to Start the 2026 Fall Semester

Four assistant professors will join San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business at the start of the fall semester during the 2026 - 27 academic year.

Leonel Diego Drukker
Finance

Leonel Diego Drukker

Leonel Diego Drukker comes to SDSU after completing his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley during the spring of 2026. Prior to becoming an academic, he worked as a research assistant in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

His research interests include barriers to the housing market and the variants that impact mortgage rates.

Sejin Kang
Finance

Sejin Kang

After earning his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 2026, Sejin Kang will join Fowler’s finance department. His areas of expertise include asset management, household finance and retirement plans.

Kang will teach Intermediate Finance (FIN 325) during the 2026 fall semester.

Andy Li
Marketing

Andy Li

A 2026 Ph.D. graduate of the University of Maryland, Andy Li will begin his academic career at SDSU as an expert in consumer behavior. He will teach Consumer Behavior (MKTG 371) during fall 2026 semester.

Li was selected as the winner of the University of Maryland’s Allan N. Nash Outstanding Doctoral Student Award in 2025.

Kristie Neff
Management

Kristie Neff

Kristie Neff joins Fowler’s management department in the fall where she will teach and research how organizations address pressing societal issues, focusing specifically on the experiences of vulnerable workers.

Prior to joining SDSU, she was an assistant professor of management at Iowa State University.
