Welcome Sports MBA Class of 2026!
We recently welcomed our 21st cohort, the SDSU Sports MBA Class of 2026, to campus. The energy and excitement have been palpable as students begin connecting with each other, faculty, staff, alumni, and settling in. During the first week, the group got acquainted with campus, had their first two classes, heard from a group of SMBA ’25 students, and attended a program networking event.

For their first semester, SMBA ‘26 will be taking the following courses this fall:

  • BA 640: Financial Reporting & Analysis with Dr. David DeBoskey
  • BA 642: Statistical Analysis with Dr. Bruce Reinig
  • BA 645: Marketing Basics with Prof. Chris Clark
  • BA 711: Challenges of Leaders with Prof. Mark Lindner
  • BA 671: Business Law with Prof. Romain Decourtye
  • BA 643: Economics with Prof. Cristina Pintado
  • BA 673: Organizational Behavior with Dr. Devin Rapp
  • BA 641: Business Ethics with Dr. Leslie Solomon

Over the next month, students will hear from numerous guest speakers (sports industry professionals and alumni), have class trips/tours at various venues in town, volunteer at a program staple event – Super Girl Surf Pro, and attend a San Diego Wave FC match at Snapdragon Stadium.

We are excited to keep the momentum building with SMBA ’26 and can’t wait to share more!
