Devoted Aztec Sports Fan and Committed Student Mentor Recognized Among SDSU’s 2024 Distinguished Alumni
Two graduates of the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University, Jennifer Fall Jung and Bill Brack, were honored as two of the recipients of the SDSU Alumni of Distinction Awards for 2024.
The awards are given bi-annually to alumni from SDSU’s eight academic colleges who have made significant contributions to San Diego State University, or on a local, state, national or international level.
Brack (’76, finance) and his wife, Karen, are dedicated Aztec football fans who have made numerous contributions to SDSU’s athletics department, including contributions directed at the construction of Snapdragon Stadium and SDSU Mission Valley. Additionally, they have provided funding for scholarships and endowments to support students and faculty within the Fowler College of Business.
Now the executive vice president and CFO of the Duckhorn Portfolio family of wineries, Fall Jung earned both her finance and MBA degrees from SDSU in 1993 and 1994 respectively. In addition to providing philanthropic support to the university, she has served as a guest lecturer and member of the dean’s board of advisors for the Fowler College of Business. She said her role as a mentor to numerous Fowler students has been the most gratifying of her many contributions to SDSU.
