Fowler Student-Athletes Recognized for Outstanding Academic Achievement

Ninety-six student-athletes from the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University were honored for their academic accomplishments during the second annual Ace Awards held on April 24.

In addition, SDSU swimmer and management major, Alex Roberts, along Matt Bradley (interdisciplinary studies) was named Athlete of the Year during the awards ceremony. Roberts was named the 2022 – 23 Mountain West Swimmer of the Year and was a qualifier in the NCAA championships for the 100-meter butterfly and the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke events.
All student-athletes earning a 3.0 GPA or higher during the spring and/or fall semesters of 2022 were honored at the ceremony which was hosted by the SDSU athletics department. Five Fowler student-athletes that earned a GPA of 4.0 during either or both semesters were also recipients of the Jim Malik award, named for the former SDSU chemistry professor and staunch supporter of SDSU athletics who also served as the university’s liaison to the NCAA .
