Behind the Scenes at Snapdragon Opener

Sports MBA '22 Alumna Shavaye Brown at the Snapdragon Stadium Opening 

As Snapdragon Stadium opened to fans when SDSU Football took on the University of Arizona, Sports MBA student Shavaye Brown (SMBA ‘22) was on-site, working with CBS Sports as a liaison between the network and Aztec Athletics. This opportunity, her second time working with CBS Sports after assisting with March Madness earlier this year, found her in the press box, relaying official statistics and reports from SDSU to the CBS Sports statisticians and reporters.

On her experience, Brown said, “As a casual football fan with no experience with the statistical side of the game, I wanted to take on the role to challenge myself and learn something new. I had a great experience working with CBS, SDSU and Arizona, and learned a lot more about the behind-the-scenes aspects of a football game.”
