Bio
Xi Chen joined the Fowler College of Business as an assistant professor of finance in 2025. She earned her Ph.D. in finance from the University of Houston and an M.S. in economics from Texas A&M University.
Chen’s primary research interests are in corporate innovation, product market competition, and entrepreneur finance. Her findings have been presented at several academic finance conferences, and she was named the runner-up for the Outstanding Doctoral Student Paper Award at the Eastern Finance Association in 2023.
