Bio
Chi Wan received his Ph.D. in economics from Boston College in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in physics from Nanjing University, China, in 2002. Before joining San Diego State University in 2025, he served as an assistant professor of economics at Carleton University in Canada and as an associate professor of finance at UMass Boston.
His research interests span corporate finance, financial accounting, investments, textual analysis, and applications of large language models.
