Bio

Steve Gaffen is a marketing lecturer for the Fowler College of Business, where he teaches Marketing (BA 370), Strategic Marketing Management (MKTG 479), and Consumer Behavior and Buyer Behavior (MKTG 371) since 2014. He volunteers with the Aztec Mentor Program and is an advisor to Sigma Delta Pi, the professional business fraternity. Gaffen also volunteers to help promote student awareness of the SDSU Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT)/Basic Needs Center (BNC), which provides food, housing and financial resources to students in need. 
 
Gaffen is a marketing consultant at public relations and marketing firm, Steres Gaffen Media. He has more than 29 years of sales and marketing executive management experience directing new product development, competitive intelligence, strategic alliances and creative ad concepts for local and fortune 500 companies. Gaffen has consulted with major brands including Kraft Foods, Kodak, American Airlines, and Corona Beer. Gaffen headed up new business development for large and small advertising and promotions agencies, the media side and corporate side, consulting with major brands including Kraft Foods, Kodak, American Airlines, and Corona Beer. He was executive director of training, sponsorship and promotions for a division of AMC Theatres. 
 
Gaffen earned his MBA with an emphasis in marketing from National University.
