Real Estate Financial Modeling class

Real Estate Financial Modeling (FIN 335)

Provides you with foundations and a wide array of financial modeling skills specific to real estate development transaction modeling and equity JV (joint venture) partnership returns analysis. This course will help you:

  • get ready for job interviews
  • build your skills for class assignments
  • improve your understanding of real estate modeling in Excel
Accelerated Analyst Program (AAP)

Accelerated Analyst Program (AAP)

Consists of a series of workshops, held in the offices of various working professionals, where participants learn specific skills to equip them for an analyst role. At the end of the six-session program, attendees will receive a certificate of completions for their resume as well as have an comprehensive understanding of a multifamily analyst role.

NAIOP Challenge Team

NAIOP Challenge Team

Is selected annually to form a diverse team of SDSU students to develop a business plan around a real estate development or re-development opportunity in San Diego County. In addition, the students present their plan with detailed financial analysis to a seasoned group of local real estate professionals that serve as judging body and then do a full presentation in front of a live audience. The competition involves local university programs and attracts significant industry attention. The experience is valuable and irreplaceable for the students. SDSU has taken home the trophy on numerous occasions.

Presentation Skills

Training is available through the center, which works with students to utilize artificial intelligence technology to enhance their ability to effectively communicate the results of their research and analysis. The center recognizes the importance of both technical and communication skills to better prepare students to be immediately productive in the work environment.
