Fowler Success, Safe at Home: An Interview with Alumnus Stuart Massengill

Stuart Massengill (Entrepreneurship,’19), Fowler College of Business alumnus and Peak Performance Strategist at Tony Robbins Companies chats with San Diego State University’s business librarian, Timothy Tully. In addition to being a national trainer for Tony Robbins Companies, Massengill has experience starting a skateboard company, a health and wellness network, and the Finding Direction Podcast as well as Finding Direction University. Massengill and Tully discuss how Massengill and Tony Robbins Companies have adapted to virtual event planning and found creative opportunities to grow business during a pandemic. 

Massengill offers advice for students entering the job market, encouraging them to leverage their network instead of solely relying on the job application process. “Stand out from the pack,” says Massenglill, who stresses and encourages business leaders to adapt and shift to virtual environments rather than dwell on when we “go back to normal.” Lastly, Massengill gives tips on public speaking as well as how to connect with potential employers by taking them to a “virtual lunch.”
