Fowler College of Business Named Among Best U.S. Business Schools by U.S. News & World Report
For the second year in a row, the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University has been named among the top 100 undergraduate business schools and the top 50 public business schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
The publication released their 2021 rankings for 511 U.S. colleges and universities on September 14, 2020, with the Fowler College of Business coming in at No. 81 among U.S. business schools (No. 50 for public universities), No. 36 among entrepreneurship programs (No. 14 for public universities), and No. 8 for the undergraduate international business program (No. 4 for public universities). The undergraduate international business program is a joint effort between the Fowler College of Business and SDSU’s College of Arts and Letters.
This year’s overall ranking and the public university ranking for the international business program equals the highest placement in the program’s history since U.S. News & World Reports released their 2014 survey.
“This ranking is a testament to the excellence of our program, its interdisciplinary curriculum, and the devotion of the faculty and staff,” said John Putman, director of SDSU’s international business program. “It recognizes not only the high-quality instruction, but also the semester-long study abroad and advanced language proficiency that international business students engage in. Extracurricular activities like the annual International Business Case Competition also demonstrate our continuing commitment to provide international business majors a well-rounded educational experience.”
Last March, U.S. News & World Report ranked the part-time MBA program at the Fowler College of Business No. 81 in the nation and No. 54 among public universities.
