Bio
Gianni De Bruyn earned his Ph.D. in business administration from the University of South Carolina in 2025 and holds a master’s degree in finance from Peking University HSBC Business School. He will join the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University in fall 2025 as an assistant professor in strategic management. He will be teaching two sections of Strategic Management.
His research examines how multinational enterprises navigate complex global environments, with a focus on global strategy, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and corporate strategy. Much of his research draws on his international academic background and professional experience in the finance industry.
