Five Easy Steps for Employers
Hire from over 500 Fowler College of Business Undergraduate Students annually. Students majoring in Management, Entrepreneurship and Human Resources will intern for 120 hours during the semester.
- Submit an Internship Interest Form for review and approval
- Conduct student interviews
- Contact the selected intern to arrange for your company’s onboarding process
- Complete an Internship Site Questionnaire
- Submit the Student Evaluation Survey at the conclusion of the internship

Companies of all sizes and from all industries, from sole proprietorships to Multinational Corporations, including public, private and nonprofit entities, qualify.
Internships begin in May, August, and January.
- 200 each for Fall and Spring Semester
- 100 for Summer Semester
The Management 401 Internship Course is offered in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. There is no deadline to post an internship. Students interview for internships before and up through the first three weeks of each semester, at which time they must present their internship proposals for the instructor’s approval to remain in the course. The best time to post an internship is as follows, to allow time for students to submit their resumes, interview and onboard. Employers should allow four weeks from posting an internship to onboarding.

- Receive approval of the internship and company from the professor before beginning the internship. Requirements are presented at the first class meeting
- Dedicate a minimum of 120 hours to the internship either in-person, virtually, or hybrid according to the requirements of the employer
- Submit a final written personal reflection report at the conclusion of the internship
- Attend five SDSU Career Service Workshops
- Attend a professional business panel of corporate executives on the SDSU Campus
- Internship may be anywhere in the United States
