Fowler College of Business Announces Faculty Promotions and Retirements for 2022

Six professors from the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University have recently been granted promotions, while three other faculty members have announced their retirement from the university. 

Those professors earning promotions are:

Jeremy Bernerth (Management) - Promotion to professor

Iana Castro (Marketing) - Promotion to professor

Michelle Dean (Management) - Promotion to professor

David Goldberg (Management Information Systems) - Tenure and promotion to associate professor Yaoyi Xi (Finance) - Tenure and promotion to associate professor 

Congcong Zheng (Management) - Promotion to professor

All promotions will be effective starting in the fall semester of 2022.

Those faculty who have retired from teaching and will be leaving the university are:

John Penrose (Management Information Systems) – Professor

Massoud Saghafi (Marketing) – Professor

Moon Song (Finance) - Professor
