What has happened in your life since you left SDSU 10 years ago?

I started my career at PwC, where I audited companies of various sizes in the Southern California market. After becoming a parent for the first time, I transitioned to the industry sector. Since then, I've gained experience in both for-profit education and software industries. I also dedicate time to teaching accounting classes at some of the community colleges in the San Diego area, as a way to give back to the system that played a crucial role in shaping my career.

Where are you working now? What is your title?

Assistant controller at Seismic Software

What was your favorite memory from SDSU?

Spending late nights at the library and utilizing the Bookeye machine in the basement of the library to scan expensive textbooks.

What was the most important lesson you learned at SDSU?

Put in a diligent effort and approach each assignment as if it were your last.
