Congratulations, Class of 2023!

With family and friends in attendance, the SDSU Sports MBA Class of 2023 crossed the stage and donned their master’s degree robes as the program’s 18th cohort of graduates on Friday, December 8, 2023. 

The graduates celebrated their achievements alongside Sports MBA faculty and SDSU dignitaries at the Tula Community Center on the SDSU campus. 

31 total graduates returned to their alma mater from job and internship placements all over the U.S. to celebrate commencement. Joe Sheldon (SMBA ‘23) earned honors as the SMBA ‘23 Valedictorian. The graduates elected Professor Frank Ryan as “Faculty of the Year” for 2023 and gifted him an oversized tennis ball as a memento of the honor. Ryan, an avid tennis player, earned the recognition for his stellar instruction in the program’s Finance course, using his humor and innovative teaching methods to simplify challenging material. 

The Sports MBA program wishes the entire graduating class the best in their future endeavors and looks forward to welcoming them back to campus as alumni. Well done, SMBA ‘23!
