Two Fowler Professors Named Among Top 2% of Most Cited Research Scientists
Two professors from San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business have been named among the top 2% of scientists based on research citation information gathered by Scopus.
Management information systems (MIS) professor Bruce Reinig, and MIS emeritus professor Robert Briggs were named among those scientists cited most in published research during the span of their careers. The numbers are based on those citations starting at the beginning of a scientists’ career through December 31, 2021.
Scopus is an abstract and citation database published by Elsevier and used to measure research performance data. Scopus covers 36,377 titles from 11,678 publishers. The Scopus data is based on methodology developed by a group of scientists led by Stanford University’s John PA Ioannidis.
