SDSUs Center for Advancing Global Business Welcomes Three New Advisory Board Members

CAGB Advisory Board supports Center’s mission to serve as catalyst for global thought leadership 

San Diego State University’s Center for Advancing Global Business (CAGB) within the Fowler College of Business announced three additions to the center’s advisory board. Dr. Eiman Al-Mutairi, Assistant Minister of Commerce for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Robert Hill, Managing Partner (retired), Deloitte Consulting, and Dr. Vivek Lall, Chief Executive, General Atomics Global Corporation joins the CAGB advisory board chaired by Dan Novak, former SVP and Head of Global Marketing & Communications, Qualcomm.

“We are deeply honored to welcome three new exceptional international business leaders to the CAGB board,” said Dan Novak. “Each brings a wealth of experience and understands that global business provides tangible economic and community benefits. Additionally they each are passionate about creating relevant professional opportunities for our students.  We’re delighted to have them join our remarkable team.”

Dr. Eiman Al-Mutairi

Dr. Eiman Al-Mutairi is currently Assistant Minister of Commerce in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She is also the CEO of the National Competitiveness Center (NCC) and the Saudi Business Center (SBC). In these positions, she focuses on leading and coordinatingregulatory and policy reforms to improve the business environment in the Kingdom, facilitate the growth of the private sector and strengthen productivity and nationaleconomic competitiveness.

Robert Hill is a former Managing Partner with Deloitte Consulting. He has over 40 years of experience working with top management and boards to address complex business issues. He has extensive experience leading strategic, global technology driven transformation programs for Fortune 100 multinational companies in the automotive, technology, aerospace, life science, medical device and consumer sectors. His expertise spans M&A, Strategy, Information Technology (enterprise systems, digital and AI), Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Accounting.

Dr. Vivek Lall 

Dr. Vivek Lall has recently been appointed Chief Executive of General Atomics Global Corporation based at their headquarters in San Diego, California. General Atomics (GA) is one of the world’s largest privately held nuclear and defense companies. GA and affiliated companies operate on five continents. The company produces a series of unmanned aircraft (Predator) and provides electro-optical, radar, signals intelligence, and automated airborne surveillance systems. GA is the principal private sector participant in thermonuclear fusion research through its internationally recognized DIII-D and inertial confinement programs. GA is a leader in development of next generation nuclear fission and high-temperature materials technologies.


The CAGB board is comprised of business and community leaders located around the world.  Board members guide the Center’s direction, support philanthropic priorities, engage in educational initiatives, and serve as advocates in business, government, and educational circles. 


Founded in 2019, the Center for Advancing Global Business is a global leader and catalyst for excellence, innovation, and collaboration in international business, education, and research. By expanding international curriculum, research, and engagement, the CAGB helps to prepare students, faculty, and the business community for change in a growing international economy.


CAGB is rooted in its Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), which since 1989 has been at the forefront of understanding the international needs of companies. Additional programs within CAGB include the Charles W. Hostler Institute on World Affairs, the Global Consulting program, Embedded International Seminars, and a number of professional development and internship opportunities.
