Valerie Li

Bio

Valerie Li is an assistant professor in the Lamden School of Accountancy at the Fowler College of Business. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Washington. Li conducts archival financial accounting research that focuses on the influence of top executives on corporate policies, executive compensation, financial reporting quality, and corporate disclosure. Her research has been published in leading academic journals including The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, The British Accounting Review, Accounting and Business Research, and Advances in Accounting. At SDSU,

Li teaches accounting information systems courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
