Sean McHenry

Bio

Sean McHenry joined the Fowler College of Business in 2022 as a lecturer in the MBA, MSGBD, and BSBA programs. His current engagement in mentor programs, accreditation teams, volunteer work with the American Marketing Association, and the Spanish Village Art Center at historic Balboa Park model the value of societal participation he purports in the classroom setting. Current research projects include the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion in marketing and an exploration of the intersection of identity and leadership.

In addition to over a decade of experience in private sector business leadership, McHenry shares his experience as a director of marketing for a full-service international marketing team for a diverse $50M portfolio. His team earned two APEX Awards of Excellence in the categories of international print ads and advertorials. He has served as host nation commerce delegate as a member of Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Yamaguchi prefectures chambers of commerce in Japan.
