Alex DeNoble

Bio

Alex F. DeNoble is a professor emeritus of entrepreneurship at San Diego State University. Between 2012 and 2023, he served as the executive director of SDSU’s Lavin Entrepreneurship Center. In addition to his university responsibilities, DeNoble was a member of the board of directors for the International Council for Small Business and was the 2015 president of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

DeNoble's areas of expertise include entrepreneurship, corporate innovation and strategic management. His research has been published in the Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and the Journal of Small Business Management. He has consulted and conducted workshops with organizations including Qualcomm, San Diego Gas and Electric, NEC Corporation, LG Corporation and Siemens.

DeNoble recently published his book entitled The Entrepreneur Within: You Don’t Have to Quit Your Day Job to Experience Entrepreneurship.
