Homero Escandón is a seasoned professional with over 24 years of experience in operations and supply chain management across various industries. He currently serves as the executive vice president and head of operations at Biotix, a leading manufacturer of laboratory consumables and liquid handling solutions based in San Diego, California.

Prior to his current role at Biotix, Escandón held significant roles including VP of supply chain and operational excellence, director of logistics, senior manager of warehouse and logistics, logistics manager, and logistics engineering manager at companies such as Northrop Grumman, LISI Aerospace, and United Technologies Corporation. His foundational experience stems from 11 years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps, during which he completed two deployments to Iraq in support of the global war on terrorism.

Escandón is deeply committed to education and professional development. He has earned a bachelor of science in organizational leadership and an MBA from National University. He’s also earned seven professional certifications in supply chain operations, project management, and operational excellence. As an ASCM master instructor and adjunct instructor at CSUSM Extended Learning and UC Berkeley Extension, he has taught certification & certificate courses and is actively involved in mentoring and instructing the next generation of supply chain professionals.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Escandón serves as president of the ASCM San Diego Chapter, contributing to the advancement of supply chain management practices within the community. He also participates on advisory boards for the National University BA in management program and the UCSD Extension specialized certificate in supply management.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Escandón enjoys cooking, hiking, watching 80’s movies, and reading.
