Yaoyi Xi

Bio

Yaoyi Xi is an associate professor of finance at the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University. After joining SDSU in 2018, he teaches subjects that range from finance fundamentals to financial analysis  case studies. Xi's primary research interests are in empirical corporate finance with a focus on behavioral finance, network effects, politics and finance, insider trading, and financial analysts. His research has been published in academic journals such as Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Journal of Corporate Finance, and has been featured in press outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and CNBC. Prior to joining the Fowler College of Business, he taught at the University of Kansas where he obtained a Ph.D. in finance.
