Bio
Shane Thompson currently teaches investment analysis and corporate finance courses and is the director of the student managed investment fund at San Diego State University.
Additionally, Thompson is a finance and business professional with over twenty years of experience in roles including management, corporate development and strategic planning in businesses ranging from startups to Dow 30 companies. He has managed international teams and projects exceeding $1B. He is is the founder of Thompson Strategy Group, a strategic planning and business consulting firm serving California and Arizona markets.
Thompson carries a Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil engineering, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He holds an engineering degree and MBA from Arizona State University and is a board member of the CFA Society San Diego.
In his spare time, Thompson is an ironman triathlete and enjoys exploring America's national parks with his family.
