Shatha Jawad

Bio

Shatha Jawad is a lecturer in the department of management information systems and has more than 22 years of experience in teaching and more than three years as a software engineer. She had a UNESCO Fellowship in the field of information and communication technologies in 2002. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses to over 1000 students in computer science, computer engineering, and management information systems and she supervised over 100 bachelors and masters students’ projects.

Jawad has worked as a software engineer and web developer for Eastridge Workforce Solutions and other companies in San Diego. Her research interests are in operating systems, system software, artificial intelligence, neural networks, fuzzy logic, image recognition, quantum computing, and computer science education.
