Shira Cohen

Bio

Dr. Shira Cohen has earned recognition for both her research and
teaching. Her research interests include corporate governance, ESG
(with a focus on climate risk), corporate disclosures, and investments.
She teaches intermediate accounting (I and II) at the undergraduate
level, and managerial accounting at the graduate level. She has also
taught in the executive education program.  

Prior to entering academia, Shira gained work experience in both the
consulting and finance industries. Also, as an academic, she served in
government as a visiting scholar-in-residence at the Securities and
Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. 

Shira holds both a Ph.D. and an MBA from Columbia University and
an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
