Bio
Shams Al Ajrawi earned her Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of San Diego and San Diego State University in March 2021. She earned a full scholarship from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for her research on brain-computer Interface systems, focusing on ECoG signal acquisition and transmission in brain-computer interface applications. She obtained her M.S. from the New York Institute of Technology in 2009 and her bachelor's degree from the University of Technology in 2005.
Currently, Al Ajrawi is an assistant professor at Alliant International University and CSML Academic Collaboration Projects Management. She has also been a core faculty member and curriculum director at John Wiley publishing company and a lecturer at San Diego State University since 2018. With a teaching career starting in 2005, Al Ajrawi has held full-time roles at Coleman University and adjunct faculty positions at San Diego State University, the University of California San Diego, the University of San Diego, the University of North Texas, CMU, MiraCosta College, Grossmont, and Miramar College.
Al Ajrawi has an extensive publication record with over 20 research papers and two books on programming and artificial intelligence. Her research interests include brain-computer Interface applications, wireless network communication, artificial intelligence, advanced signal processing, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
