Bio
Rebecca Nieman, JD, is a lecturer in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University. Nieman received her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in business from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She specializes in teaching business law and ethics.
Nieman has experience in managing a law firm, supervising a business legal clinic as a law professor, and starting her own legal practice. She was a Stanford EPIC Fellow with the Stanford Global Studies Department where she developed and completed her project of internationalizing business law curriculum for her course. Nieman is a published scholar with research focusing on access to justice, pro bono work, and business law pedagogy. Her scholarship has been published in the Journal of Legal Studies Education, Widener Law Review, University of Arkansas Law Review and Buffalo Public Interest Law Review.
Nieman has received awards for her teaching and research, including First Place, Distinguished Scholarly Paper, at the Pacific Southwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business and the San Diego Mesa College, Work-Based Learning Faculty Champion.
