Kevan McLaughlin

Bio

Kevan McLaughlin is a California State Bar Certified Tax Law Specialist. In addition to representing taxpayers in civil and criminal tax matters, he has a unique practice in defending accounting professionals before the California Board of Accountancy (CBA), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the IRS’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) who are accused of violating various statutes and regulations, including Circular 230 provisions.  McLaughlin is actively involved in various professional associations, including holding a position on the California Lawyers Association Taxation Section Executive Committee.  He has been published in Journal of Accountancy and the California Tax Lawyer, and received numerous awards including Super Lawyer designations from 2015 to 2021.
