Bio
Jonathan Ossie completed his doctoral research (Ph.D.), and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of San Diego. Currently he is a marketing lecturer at the San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business.
As a San Diego-based entrepreneur he owns and operates three growing companies, focused in digital marketing, e-commerce, media, and supply chain. Ossie's background in private sector finance expertise and business management exposure have been sharpened by seven years spent as a consultant with IBM in their Financial Services
Global Business Services division.
Beyond leadership roles in management consulting, Ossie's
career has been spent across a broad spectrum of technology roles in marketing, sales, business planning, operations and strategy and operations.
Ossie was a founding member and strategy advisor at The Brink Innovation Center, University of San Diego, Small Business Development Center, helping advise strategy to the center’s
technology focused clients.
Ossie lives in La Jolla, California where he is an active member of the community in the bi-national San Diego/Tijuana border region.

Research
Ossie’s research focuses on utilizing technologies to measure therapy effectiveness. Specifically, his research uses alternative therapies such as ocean exposure and surfing, working with military veterans with PTSD to understand impacts and benefits using psychological, psychosocial and physiological metrics such as sleep and heart rate variability.
