Derek Young

Bio

Derek Young is a management lecturer in SDSU’s Fowler College of Business. He currently teaches Leadership in Organizations (MGT 475) to undergraduate students. 

In addition to teaching at SDSU, Young operates his own leadership consulting company and has served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in quantitative electronics at the U.S. Naval Academy and his master’s degree in leadership education and development at The George Washington University. He is also a skilled public speaker and taught advanced leadership at the U.S. Naval Academy while he was on active duty.
