Bio

Dan Scanlan is currently an advisor to fintech companies and an adjunct managment professor at San Diego State University where he teaches strategic management and other business courses related to international business. 

Prior to moving to San Diego in 2017, he was the head of transaction banking for Standard Chartered Bank, managing the cash management, payments clearing, trade finance and custody businesses in the Americas region. Before that, he was responsible for the global trade business at Bank of America. He joined BofA in 1994 in Hong Kong, where he spent eight years managing regional cash management and trade finance sales teams across Asia and Europe.

Scanlan has more than 35 years of banking experience, working in various capacities. He holds an MBA in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
