Dave Samara

Bio

David Samara is currently an IT and cybersecurity lecturer at the Fowler College of Business. He teaches information technology networking and cybersecurity fundamentals to undergraduates.

Samara has over three decades of experience in the fields of electronics, information technology, and cybersecurity via careers in military, defense sector, and commercial industries from technician to multiple executive roles. He is a serial consultant having risen within two separate industry sectors (IT operations and then cybersecurity) to both CIO (chief information officer) and CISO (chief information security officer) across field, corporate headquarters, and international environments.

He earned both his bachelor's in music and master's degrees in both human resources and information systems from Whitworth, Chapman, and National Universities.
