Bio
Doron Malka currently teaches integrated marketing communications and internet/interactive marketing at San Diego State University. As the president and founder of Ameba Marketing, Inc., a San Diego-based thriving full-service branding and marketing communications agency with leading national and international clients, Malka brings a wealth of real-world knowledge and experience to his classes.
Malka completed his bachelor’s degree in international relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1991. He then moved to San Diego to complete his MBA at San Diego State University with an emphasis in marketing. In November 2014, after successfully defending his dissertation on The Placebo Effect of Brands, Doron received his doctorate degree in business administration from Argosy University.
In 2017, Malka has published his first book named: BRANDcebo – The Powerful Placebo Effect of Brands and its Impact on Our Behavior and Performance.
Since launching his agency, Ameba marketing, in 1996, Malka has personally crafted and managed cutting-edge branding, marketing, and public relations campaigns for national and international clients, such as Hewlett Packard, Sharp Health Plan, SodaStream, Kaiser Permanente, the California Department of Managed Healthcare, ResMed and the City of Chula Vista, to name a few.
Malka is an avid soccer player and espresso connoisseur. He is a father of three and lives in San Diego with his wife and their youngest son.
