Bio
Chamu Sundaramurthy (Ph.D., University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign) is Associate Dean (Interim), Research and Strategic Initiatives and Lang Endowed Professor of Leadership Development. She was the former chair of the Management department and practiced law in India before entering academia. In recognition of her academic excellence, she received in 2021 the SDSU Alumni Association Award for Outstanding Faculty Contributions.
Sundaramurthy is an award-winning teacher who has taught strategic management and international business courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels. Sundaramurthy’s well-cited research on strategic leadership and governance has been published in top journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Management. She also serves on the editorial boards of top journals in her field.
