Bio
Ami Doshi is a management lecturer, research advancement fellow in the Division of Research and Innovation, member of SDSU’s Water Across Borders research collaborative, and university senator. She teaches courses that include international business, family business management, international entrepreneurship, and Business Honors seminar. Her research interests are two-fold: System dynamics of, and sustainable development in, the food-water-energy nexus; and the strategic drivers and institutional mechanisms that foster bio-economy innovation.
Doshi began in biotech research and development, then moved to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to gain new drug approval expertise. At the Kauffman Foundation, she built and expanded strategic partnerships, programs, and research and policy efforts to support high-growth/tech entrepreneurship. She has founded ventures in the U.S. and India, and provides regulatory consulting to biotech startups.
