Director, Graduate Career Management Center
Beverly Bracker joined San Diego State University in 2014. She is the Director of the Fowler College of Business Career Management Center, where she focuses on enhancing the professional success of business students and connecting employers with skilled and talented candidates. Prior to joining SDSU, Beverly spent thirteen years in law school Career Services. She was a first generation college student, earning her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa, with a double major in English and psychology. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, and a professional certificate in career counseling from UCSD.
Greg Tanneberger, J.D.
External/Alumni Relations Coordinator
The best parts of Greg’s day involves opening doors, whether it is helping students develop the skills to engage with employers or helping companies to find creative ways to become active on campus. Greg meets regularly with senior/C-level business executives to see how the Fowler College of Business and its multi-talented students may be able to assist them in finding innovative solutions to some of their most challenging business obstacles. Greg has recently served on an advisory board for the Emerging Leaders Network initiative at the North San Diego Business Chamber and currently mentors transitioning military veterans through programs like Operation Connect. Prior to joining the Fowler College of Business, Greg gained valuable experience in business development and marketing while training with the Walt Disney Travel Company and working for Caesar’s Entertainment.
Tina Tan, M.A
Tina Tan is the Career Advisor in the Fowler Career Management Center. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and career development professional passionate about coaching and educating others in identifying their strengths, exploring various career paths, and discovering their calling in the workplace. With 13+ years of experience working in higher education, she helps prepare students for the job market through career development education. Tina is a graduate of the University of San Diego, where she earned a master's degree in counseling with a career specialization, and an alumna of San Diego State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology. She is a member of MBA Career Services & Employer Alliance (MBA CSEA), National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), and Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE).
Michelle Svay, M.A.
Internship/Career Fair Coordinator
Michelle is the Internship & Career Fair Coordinator in the Fowler Career Management Center. Michelle joined the Fowler College of Business in 2015. Prior to coming to the Fowler College of Business, she worked in career and academic advising capacities for Kaplan College and Argosy University respectively. In her time with the Fowler College of Business, Michelle has gained valuable experience advising students on their internship search and organizing and recruiting employers for the Fowler College of Business Career Fairs. She is a graduate of San Diego State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and the University of San Diego with a master’s degree in Counseling with a school counseling specialization. Michelle is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Working in education has always been her passion. She loves helping students find success and helping them to realize their potential.
