HR SDSU Student Organization Caps Off 2016 – 2017 With National Recognition

 

The SDSU SHRM group went to New Orleans to pick up another Outstanding Chapter AwardThis marks the third time in four years that the group has been honored with an Outstanding Chapter Award, which is the highest honor accorded to SHRM’s student chapters.  The SDSU organization was chartered as an affiliated SHRM chapter in 2011.The SDSU student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) received national recognition with an Outstanding Chapter Award presented during the SHRM Annual Conference and Exposition held in New Orleans on June 18. Out of the 327 SHRM student chapters in the United States, SDSU was one of only 20 receiving an Outstanding Chapter designation.

This marks the third time in four years that the group has been honored with an Outstanding Chapter Award, which is the highest honor accorded to SHRM’s student chapters.  The SDSU organization was chartered as an affiliated SHRM chapter in 2011.

The group kicked off 2016-2017 in high gear, as their faculty advisor, Dr. Michelle Dean, was named SHRM Advisor of the Year, and chapter president Travis Doderlein was awarded the SHRM Foundation Lisa Burke Undergraduate Scholarship in 2016.
