SDSU's College of Business Administration Breaks Ground on $3.1 Million Renovation
A groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, May 16, 2014 at SDSU's College of Business Administration to kick off a $3.1 million renovation that will expand student/faculty/staff meeting areas, add a research lab and observation room, establish a first floor lobby area and provide new administrative office space.
All of the funding for the new construction came in the form of numerous gifts, including the lead gift which came from College of Business Administration advisory board member, Tom Page, for whom the Page Pavilion on the third floor of the Student Services East building will be named.
Many other gifts helped to make the renovation a reality including those from the Stiefel Behner Charitable Fund; the Mack family; Terry Atkinson ('69, public affairs); KPMG; Stephen Coslik ('71, finance); Scott and Shara ('92, accounting) Di Valerio; and 3M Company.
"SDSU and the College of Business Administration are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed toward these much-needed renovations and upgrades to some of the college's most publicly used areas," said Dr. Gangaram Singh, interim dean of SDSU's College of Business Administration. "The new construction will transform previously unusable space into meeting and laboratory areas designed to allow greater student collaboration, further our research, and modernize the college's public access areas. It offers tremendous educational and instructional benefits to our students, faculty and the administrative staff at SDSU's College of Business Administration."
