College of Business Graduation 2013
On Saturday, May 18, 2013, SDSU's College of Business Administration held its annual commencement event at Viejas Arena. Of the 1394 eligible business graduates, 984 graduate and undergraduate students attended the ceremony and walked across the podium.
Linda Lang ('91, M.B.A.) chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Jack in the Box Inc. was conferred an honorary doctorate by Dr. Michael Cunningham, dean of the college and Dr. Nancy Marlin, SDSU's provost. Lang was awarded the degree for her support of the college and the university including a generous gift (with her husband Tom) to the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center, service on the California State University Board of Trustees and service on the College of Business Administration's advisory board.
The outstanding undergraduate student from each department was invited to sit on the podium with their most influential faculty member. This year's awardees were:
- Accounting: Luke Mournian and Dr. David DeBoskey
- Finance: Eric Wong and Dr. Kamal Haddad
- Management Information Systems: Brent Polite and Dr. Theo Addo
- Management: Nicolas Lingenfelter and Christine Probett
- Marketing: Breanna Feathers and Christine Probett
Eric Wong was named 2013's outstanding undergraduate student in the college.
