2013 Future Rising Business Leaders Honored
The Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center was the venue for the 2013 Future Rising Business Leaders awards ceremony held on April 19, 2013. The keynote speaker for the event was community service leader and SDSU business lecturer, Tita Gray.
The Future Rising Business Leaders honors those SDSU students that have shown proven leadership qualities and have demonstrated their academic excellence, community service and commitment to SDSU and the College of Business Administration.
Presented by SDSU's Associated Business Student Council (ABSC) and sponsored by the College of Business Administration, the awards are given each year to four outstanding SDSU upperclassmen, one promising underclassman (the Rising Star Award) and four student organizations.

Nick Lingenfelter – Nick is graduating in May with a degree in management (entrepreneurship specialization) and will begin M.B.A. studies in the fall. He plans to start a business that develops vehicles for deep space travel.
Natalie Meehan – Graduating in December 2013 with a management degree (entrepreneurship specialization), Natalie is one of three partners starting a business, Acupuncture Express, which opens its doors in Mission Valley on June 8, 2013.
Jeremy Poincenot – Already a star in U.S. Blind Golf Association, Jeremy plans to continue golfing and looks forward to being a full-time motivational speaker. He graduates in May with a degree in management (entrepreneurship specialization).
Eric Wong – Named top student for 2013 for the College of Business Administration (with a perfect 4.0 GPA), Eric will share the podium with college and university dignitaries when he graduates this May with a degree in finance. He will start work at Brandes Investment Partners in San Diego this summer.
Jonathan Cole – Jonathan is this year's Rising Star and is a sophomore majoring in finance and was just elected to be the president of the Intrafraternity Council. He said "I never let anything distract me from my goals and I am determined to make a difference in my community."
In addition, Mor Frankle was presented with the Dean's Leadership Award to honor her service and leadership on the Associated Business Student Council.
The Hispanic Business Student Association was awarded the AMA Excellence in Marketing Award, E3 Green Organization Award and the SAS Accounting for Charity Award. The Outstanding Organization Award for 2013 was presented to the Student Accounting Society (SAS).
