A Message from Dr. Michael Cunningham:
Light the Night Walk 2012
As a continuation of last year's successful initiative to undertake meaningful community service by the College of Business, I invite you to participate again this year in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk.
Last year, SDSU's College of Business:
- Had the largest walking team with 161 participants, beating the second largest team, UCSD, by 50 people
- Was the top corporate sponsor in donations
Let's keep the momentum building as we take on cancer (and the team from UCSD) by pledging to walk, donate or both in the effort to find the cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
Our fundraising goal this year is $15,000 and each participant on our team donating $20 or more will receive a colorful College of Business Administration t-shirt to wear during the walk. Those donating $50 or more will receive a lighted balloon, a Light The Night t-shirt and dinner prior to the start of the event.
This year's walk takes place starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Petco Park. After our team meets in the infield, we will all participate in an easy 2-mile stroll around the outside of the Park.
It's a great opportunity to re-connect with professors and old friends while raising awareness and funds for a great cause.
To donate, walk, or both, please register at SDSU/LTN. If you have questions before the event, please contact Suzanne Finch at 619-594-0206 or [email protected] or go to SDSU College of Business Light the Night.
I look forward to seeing you there!
