Mark Stuart

Bio

Mark A. Stuart is the president and CEO of The San Diego Foundation, the largest community foundation in this region with assets under management of more than $1.3 billion. Mark is a 30-year professional fundraiser and nonprofit executive and served as president of the San Diego Zoo Global Foundation for 13 years where he raised more than $1 billion in gifts and memberships. Mark was the associate dean of development and alumni relations at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine prior to relocating to San Diego. He double majored in English and political science at Albion College (MI) and holds a master's degree in educational administration from McDaniel College (MD). Mark serves on the boards of McDaniel College, Certified Fundraising Executives International (CFRE), the League of California Community Foundations, and the San Diego Symphony Foundation. He and his husband, Tim, live in Banker's Hill.
