Dr. Alex Yao joined SDSU’s Fowler College of Business as an assistant professor in the fall of 2019. He earned his Ph. D. from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California where he won the USC Excellence in Teaching award in the category of marketing.
Yao’s area of expertise is marketing data analytics and his research focuses on the luxury fashion goods industry and digital marketing. He currently has research pending publication in the Journal of Marketing Research, which is one of the top academic marketing journals in the world.
