Dr. Vinod Sasidharan serves as the academic director of Interdisciplinary Studies in Three Degrees (IS3D) at San Diego State University. He is an associate professor in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM), College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts (PSFA). He holds a master’s degree in tourism policy and management from the University of Birmingham, UK and a doctorate in leisure studies from The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Sasidharan’s research specialty is in the area of sustainability assessment and corporate social responsibility evaluation. His research interests also focus on the implementation of grass-roots initiatives, involving local community participation in planning and decision making for sustainable development. He works with both national and international bodies on projects relating to the evaluation of sustainability performance indicators for implementing initiatives within the context of sustainable development goals and has authored several papers on this topic.
