Rebecca Nieman, JD is a lecturer in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University. Rebecca received her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and a bachelor of science in business from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She specializes in teaching business law and ethics. Nieman has experience in managing a law firm, supervising a business legal clinic as a law professor, and starting her own legal practice. She uses that experience in the classroom to create a more experiential, real-world atmosphere for students. Nieman is a member of the California Bar Association. She was recently chosen as a Stanford EPIC Fellow with the Stanford University Global Studies Department to develop her project of internationalizing the business law curriculum. Nieman is admitted to practice law in both the Illinois and California state courts, as well as the Southern District of California. She has experience managing public interest law firms, as well as one of the largest pro bono programs in Southern California. Nieman helped to start the numerous pro bono civil legal clinics located in the main branches of the San Diego County courthouses.
