Narelle MacKenzie is an Australian native who is a licensed CPA in the state of California and a member of CPA Australia. MacKenzie became a faculty member at the Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy at
San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business in 2007, lecturing in both
U.S. international and domestic taxes for corporations and individuals. She is also
a highly sought-after speaker, course instructor and guest lecturer, and has presented
at many conferences on the subject of U.S. taxes throughout the world.
MacKenzie is a lecturer representative (2019 - 2023) on SDSU’s University Senate and is also a faculty member of the university’s Student Grievance Committee. She is a past president of the San Diego Chapter of CalCPA and co-chairs Got International! (a discussion group for international advisors) and is president of her homeowners’ association.
MacKenzie’s business experience has covered diverse industries and activities, including supply chain activities and initiatives, identification and implementation of new manufacturing facilities, establishing representative offices, secondment arrangements, customer sales and support initiatives and general cross-border issues. She has been an advisor on cross-border activities in numerous countries and works with tax advisors in those countries to identify optimal, strategic tax solutions for various clients in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, China, Scotland, India, Turkey, Japan, Germany, South Korea, Netherlands, Canada, Luxembourg, Chile, Sweden, Norway, Russia, Australia, the U.K. and France.
