Internships for Business Students
The College of Business Administration collaborates with SDSU Career Services to cultivate a learning environment that fosters excellence in business education through innovative programs, applied learning, research, and collaboration with the community.
Internships and job opportunities are available for students to review on Aztec Career Connection. Students can access their Aztec Career Connection account for the first time by using their Red ID for both their username and password.
Paid internships may be obtained anytime throughout the semester. Students should connect directly with companies as directed in each company’s internship posting on Aztec Career Connection.
Unpaid internships must be completed for academic credit by enrolling in one of the three internship courses offered by the College of Business:
- BA 401 (1 credit) – elective for non-MGT undergraduates
- MGT 401 (3 credits) – required course for all MGT undergraduates
- BA 780 (3 credits) – elective for graduate students
There are numerous requirements for unpaid internships for academic credit, and internship sites must go through what can be a time consuming approval process. It is advisable to start your internship search early. If you have questions about completing an internship for academic credit please contact Michelle Svay, Internship Coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org).
